Jan Kabzan (1947). Jeho dominantním tématem je příroda – proměnlivá, vibrující, ztrácející formu a měnící se ve frekvenci, jež je odrazem skutečnosti. Důležitým prvkem jeho tvorby je důsledná práce s klasickým médiem malby na plátně. V tomto ohledu navazuje na tradici americké abstrakce (Pollock, de Kooning, Gorky či Rothko) a tvoří jakousi čtvrtou generaci tohoto směru. Generaci, která reflektuje digitální současnost, ale přitom zůstává věrná fyzické malbě a její symbolické hloubce. Vstup do světa umělcových obrazů není sentimentálním návratem, ale silným gestem kontinuity. Obraz se stává posvátným médiem, skrze které lze znovu číst svět.

Jan Kabzan (1947). His dominant theme is nature – fluid, vibrating, losing its form, and shifting into frequencies that reflect reality. A key element of his work is his consistent use of the traditional medium of oil on canvas. In this regard, he follows the tradition of American abstraction (Pollock, de Kooning, Gorky, or Rothko), representing a “fourth generation” of this movement. This generation reflects the digital present while remaining faithful to physical painting and its symbolic depth. Entering the world of his paintings is not a sentimental return, but a powerful gesture of continuity. The painting becomes a sacred medium through which the world can be read anew.
